Children and grandchildren are our most precious assets. The above statement seems extremely accurate to me. Words that are spoken in harshness will often cause irreparable damage. Those on the receiving end of a critical spirited person are left deeply wounded. It is impossible to be a godly role model and give clear vision of who God is when one speaks out of anger. I pray that all reading this will stop and think before they speak. May the words they say be pleasing to the Lord and not damaging to the recipient. There is already enough brokenness in this world.
Prayer: Father God, help each one of us to think before we speak. Give us kind and life building words to say, or help us to say nothing at all. May we model the gentleness of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
