Scripture provides comfort for those times when we feel that God has forgotten us. Isaiah 49:16 states, “See I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.” Just as God  tells the children of Israel that he has not forgotten them, how comforting to know that he remembers us and hears us when we pray. He constantly acts on our behalf even when there are no outward signs of an answered prayer.
